UT IDE Strategic Alliance

Inclusion, diversity, and engagement are core elements of the UT fabric.  The UT Board of Trustees reaffirmed the UT Diversity Statement, which upholds the educational value of a diverse and fully inclusive campus community.  We are working diligently to enhance opportunities for members of our campus community to engage with one another as we move forward together to answer President Randy Boyd’s challenge of making this the greatest decade in UT history.

Efforts to move the needle in the inclusion, diversity and engagement space require that we seek the ongoing input of the varied voices and perspectives of each of our campuses/institutes.  To that end, we have created the UT IDE Strategic Alliance.

 

The UT IDE Strategic Alliance is comprised of three functioning committees and one senior advisory council.  Each committee and council will have distinct areas of focus in direct alignment with the goals and objectives of UT IDE.  Below, is a brief description of each:

 

  • UT IDE Senior Advisory Council
    • Responsible for ensuring alignment of system-wide IDE—Embedding IDE across UT for sustainable change
    • Champions and advocates for inclusion, diversity and engagement
  • UT IDE Strategic Steering Committee
    • Responsible for identifying strategic approaches for IDE
    • Champions and advocates for inclusion, diversity and engagement
  • UT IDE Strategic Action Team
    • Responsible for carrying out the actions necessary to enhance IDE
    • Champions and advocates for inclusion, diversity and engagement
  • UT IDE Strategic Resource Group
    • Responsible for resource alignment as needed
    • Champions and advocates for inclusion, diversity and engagement

 

UT IDE Strategic Alliance Requirements

  • Applicants must have been employed with the university for a minimum of one year
  • Applicants must have received a satisfactory final rating of “Fully Achieves Expectations” or above on the most recent performance review
  • Applicants must have a supervisor’s approval to actively participate in a UT IDE Strategic Alliance committee
